Streaming bliver stadigt mere populært hos danskerne, som streamer film som aldrig før. Den udvikling fortsætter, og frem mod 2020 forventes en samlet vækst i TV- og videobranchen på trods af en forventet tilbagegang i leje og lån af fysiske film i hjemmet. Det viser en ny undersøgelse fra PwC.

Ifølge PwC’s årlige analyse Global Entertainment and Media Outlook 2016-2020 forventes omsætningen i den danske TV- og videobranche gennemsnitlig at stige med en årlig vækst på 0,6 % frem mod 2020. Omsætningen i 2015 lå på 13,9 mia. kr. og forventes i 2020 at være på 14,3 mia. kr. Disse tal dækker over TV- og videoforbrug i hjemmet samt streaming.

”Det er ikke overraskende, at den forventede årlige vækst ikke er højere. Brugen af fysiske videoer, både i form af leje og køb af film forventes at opleve et fald i omsætningen på ca. 8 % og trækker derfor den samlede vækst i branchen ned,” udtalerLeif Ulbæk Jensen, partner og medieekspert i PwC.
